I'm still enjoying maternity leave- I think I'll enjoy going back to work, but am so spoiled that it won't be full time. I go back in September, which at this pace will seem so fast! Jason is back to work (for a while now) and that has been going great- but we did have so much fun with him being home!
In the past few weeks we've been on a few adventures, spent some wonderful time with family and friends, and have enjoyed just getting to know Rylan and welcoming him to the family. Rylan has learned to smile and responds to kisses, peek-a-boo and just attention in general.
I thought I'd share a few pictures of our adventures:
Rylan's wild hair-- this resulted in a "debate" between Jason and I....Mommy had a hard time agreeing to Rylan's first hair cut. I finally gave in when he was 6 weeks old (last week). Aunt Katy (Thomas) cut it-- now looking back at these pictures, I think we made the right choice. (After pictures to follow). I call this Rylan's "Kate Gosselin" look
Crazy hair, but happy kiddo
We went to a concert in the park with our friends the Fields. Rylan liked the Blues music! Then we took Rylan to his first dinner at Barley's.
Daddy's walking their kids-- Travis is on the left and Jason on the right. We had such a fun evening!
Growing up fast- he loves play time with daddy!
Rylan finally got to wear his wranglers, so we had to get a picture of his wranger butt!
Rylan's first parade
Family time at the parade
We had a great day after the parade- friends and family came over for the day and we bbq'd. This is Lilly (Rylan's friend in the back) and MaKenna (Rylan's cousin). Good looking blonde ladies for Rylan to hang out with :)
Then we went to the Bull Riding that night - big day for us but he did great and we had so much fun!
Crazy rain storm at Bull Riding resulted in a beautiful rainbow above the flag
Mom and Rylan relaxing...that's what we do best!
A smile...kind of. We're working on capturing it on camera
Jason is on a softball team again this year. (I played once so far). So, Rylan gets lot of attention in the stands from family- here's one with Great Grandma Kay
On to our next Adventure- we went up to TwoColor campground and spent the day with Jason's family. Rylan enjoyed his first camp fire. This is Grandma Corinna, Jason w/ Rylan, and Aunt Jennifer.
Great Grandparents Ralph and Hildreth went camping too! So proud of Ralph...he is 91!!
Happy little guy - you can see his hair isn't so crazy anymore!
Not in time order... this is the 4th of July. We had a fun BBQ at Goldie and Papa's and even went to the big fireworks in Haines. This is Rylan with his best friends- Lilly (7 months) and Caleb (13 months). WOW lots of changes ahead for us!
Travis and Casey w/ Lilly, Erin w/ Caleb, and Jason and I with Rylan on the 4th
Family Photo-- even let Zulu in on this one!
